What your child learns
That two groups can be put together and that the total is found by counting them all. On the number line your child starts from the first number and counts on, a step towards adding without fingers.
How to help
Add at the table too: two spoons and one more, how many in all? When your child slips, the game never says "no"; it counts everything in the basket together.
Levels
To 5 suits most four year olds, to 10 is for children who count to ten with confidence, and Number line is for those who can count on from a number. Every finished game earns a star on that level.
